How the Showcase Works
Additional ALL-STATE SHOWCASE Information- We will continue to update as we get closer.
We always need Coaches/Parents to volunteer. If you do not have a coach that shows up, please volunteer as a parent to assist on the field. It will be as much fun for you as it is for the players.
Coach, Umpire, Parents, Players & Site Director Notes (THIS WILL BE UPDATED SO KEEP CHECKING) This is the only method we have to communicate, so pass it on to others and keep checking often. Because of coaching changes or coach additions, players team may change, again another reason to keep checking. Players MUST play on the team they are assigned to, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Coaches should meet the site director listed below, one hour before their first game to pick up the players Ring. The site director’s location is listed below. Most important. At the end of games if you had a player that was not present you must return the ring with the name of the player to the Site Director. It is the only way we can mail the player his ring. Some ROSTERS have changed since I printed who you have. There may be a player on your roster that is not there because I had a late email that he would not be attending and pulled his ring. Feel free to note that but if short a ring, that is probably what happened. I have it and will mail next week.
Site Director Locations- (May not be correct so let me know please. Field Locations are linked below.
- Coaches, make sure to hand out the Rings as soon as you meet your Take roll and only hand out rings to the players on your list. Do not had out rings to players not on your list and return rings of the players that are not present to site director so they can be mailed out to the players. Make sure you mark which player did not show up. Make sure they get their awards early just in case there would be weather issues.
- Players, please arrive at least 40 minutes prior to scheduled start time, so Coaches can hand out the rings and so they can visit with you about positions. That will allow them to put lineups together and to give you the warm-up time you need prior to starting the game.
- Umpires must get baseballs from the Site Director before the start of each Please return baseballs after the last game. The Site Directors location is listed above.
- Everyone If a player sits out an inning, he is in the next inning. Players bring your own helmet if you have one. We do not keep score!! The home team is decided by coin flip.
- Allow players to play different positions, perhaps draw names from a hat for batting Make it fun. If a team bats around during the inning, stop and change sides.
- If we have a player or two that does not show and a team is left with less than 9, please check team in another dugout or next to your field for a team that perhaps has 10 or 11 and could give you a player for the 2 games.
- All teams play two games unless the weather forces us to change format. Players will wear their team uniform at the games. Players should bring their own helmet & catching gear. The teams will bat the lineup.
- The games will be 1hr. 40 min. (drop dead) and we will play until that time is up. Delayed starting times, could cause the games to be shortened in length.
- We do not keep score, there will be no winners and no losers. Correction, there will only be winners. The game is set up to honor the All State Showcase Players. Each game will end with them lining up again and tipping their hat to the fans.
- Great way to end the 2026 season and Congratulations to all the Nebraska All State Showcase Players!!
